The Spirit Of The Game

I do another Hobby, yes I admit it, and the big concern is the Spirit of the Game.
Almost all the people I have flown with (and against!) flying Combat with R/C airplanes understand that it is all in FUN! Is it competitive?..You bet! Does it raise the blood pressure? Absolutely! But don't take it seriously or personally. I can speak with authority on this subject... I started flying against a cloud of SPADs with a BALSA built airplane! Even though my airplane (in my opinion) was superior in every respect to the SPAD... I GOT SMASHED! Mark was very gracious in awarding me a brand new SPAD for the "Most Spetacular Crash"... but after the third one I got the hint! Kudos to Mark for the idea!
Don't engage in a combat match unless you are prepared to buy a beer for the guy who "took you out". This is friendly combat...any one of the competitors will gladly loan you anything you need to "keep flying". Do Not Put an Airplane in a combat match if you are not prepared to lose it.
